Human Dignity
Every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent worth.
This truth—known as the Imago Dei—is the foundation of human equality, justice, and moral responsibility. It affirms that every human life has value not because of ability, status, or recognition, but because of its origin in God.
Because dignity is God-given:
It cannot be earned or lost
It cannot be redefined by culture
It cannot be granted or removed by the state
From this foundation flows a consistent commitment to:
Protect life from conception to natural death
Defend the vulnerable and voiceless
Uphold justice rooted in truth, not preference
Treat all people with respect and moral seriousness
At the same time, Scripture teaches that humanity is fallen. The image of God remains, but it is marred by sin—shaping both individual behavior and societal systems. For this reason, true justice must be grounded not only in dignity, but in truth, accountability, and redemption.
